Dear MendMeShop,

I purchased this product, based mostly on the reviews/website, with very high hopes. I assumed that if it even remotely lived up to the hype that it would be worth it. I had been read the results of my MRI, which noted I had a high grade sprain to my ACL, a mid grade sprain to the PCL and LCL, two tears in the meniscus, and a deep bone bruise on the top of the fibula. I was told I would basically be out of commission for a minimum of 6 weeks, but realistically 8-10 weeks. I started ultrasound therapy (using the lavender gel) the next day. Today (a total of two weeks later) I went to the doctor for a check-up. He called my recovery "miraculous" and released me to go back to work without restriction. The doctor even wrote down the website after I told him I had done all of the rehab myself. He couldn't believe it. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to see results, from the comfort of their own home, that normally would cost significantly more through weeks or months of therapy through a doctor's office. Don't even hesitate......buy it.

More Facts About Knees:

Babies are born without knee caps. They appear when the child reaches 2-6 years of age.

The knee is the largest articular joint in the body.

Each knee has two tough, rubbery menisci.

One meniscus sits on the inside of the knee joint and is referred to as the medial meniscus. The other meniscus rests on the outer part and is referred to as the lateral meniscus.

Arthritis is one of the most common causes of knee bursitis.

Therapeutic Ultrasound is a highly effective treatment for knee bursitis.

Runner's knee is not exactly a condition in itself. It sums up a multitude of knee disorders with different causes all centering around the kneecap.

Obesity and improper body alignment are responsible for many knee injuries.

Optimal knee treatment includes avoiding activity, icing the inflammation, gently stretching and warming the area.

Ultrasound can speed ACL, PCL and meniscus recovery significantly.

Dear MendMeShop,

I purchased the ultrasound device for tendonitis in my knee and I noticed a decrease in pain in about two weeks. I've had this condition for about ten years and I've tried all types of things, all types of physical therapy and nothing worked. But this device definitely helped. Thank you MendMeShop.

Osteoarthritis - Conservative Treatments

Ultrasound Therapy
MendMeShop Therapeutic Ultrasound treats inflammation and scar tissue that builds up on the patella and quadriceps tendon.

Ultrasound is a great therapeutic option to decrease inflammation, pain and soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve and connective tissue) damage experienced with osteoarthritic knees. This can be received using a portable, home ultrasound device (self-administered) or by seeing a physiotherapist. The treatment is easy, painless, safe, and generally requires between 5 - 10 minutes. It is based on a form of deep tissue therapy, which is generated through high frequency sound waves (that we can not hear). These waves send vibrations deep into your body and raise the temperature of your soft tissue. The waves are delivered through a hand held transducer and medicinal conductive ultrasound gel that are used together in a slow, circular motion on your skin over the injured area. Using medicated ultrasound gel can enhance your ultrasound therapy as the sound waves push the medication deep into the tissue through a process called phonophoresis.

Customer Reviews

Ultrasound therapy increases collagen and tissue elasticity, which in turn promotes blood flow (circulation) and brings oxygen and nutrients to your osteoarthritic knees. This cleans your tissue by getting rid of cell waste products and helps to slow the degeneration of tissue and can heal ligament, muscle, and tendon damage. If not treated properly injured tissue can heal with a weakened state, which can lead to scar tissue or calcification. If used on an ongoing basis, ultrasound will help to improve your range of motion by breaking down any scar tissue that may form in your knee area. Ultrasound waves penetrate deep into your tissues, relax your muscles, decrease chronic inflammation and accelerate your recovery rate following knee trauma or surgery, so you can return to your daily activities as soon as possible.

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™
Inferno Wrap Knee Device to relieve pain.

After the inflammation and swelling is gone you can begin to treat your osteoarthritic pain with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy, or BFST. BFST increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your knee to nourish cartilage, tendons, ligaments and muscles to soothe your pain and make the joint healthier.

By treating yourself with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy you can increase your body's blood supply to the knee and your body's natural healing power. In addition, the fresh blood flow whisks away dead cells and toxins that have built up from the deterioration or trauma leaving the area clean and able to heal faster. Our Knee Inferno Wrap™ provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief and healing with no side effects.

A Knee Inferno Wrap™ gives you unparalleled BFST energy. You simply won't find a comparable product on the market. Other therapy products can not come close to offering the comfortable, contoured fit and targeted energy treatment an Inferno Wrap™ provides. You will feel the soothing, deep penetrating warmth as it works to stimulate your blood flow and just make your knee feel better, we guarantee it. Now you can reduce your pain anywhere with the comfortable, light weight Inferno Wrap™ for your knee.

Cold Compression Therapy
Cold Cmpression Freezie Wrap Therapy for your PCL tear

Cold Compression Therapy is used to decrease swelling and relieve the pain for chronic or diagnosed arthritic knees within the first 48 hours of a flare-up or following knee surgery. Cold Compression Therapy is recommended when you are experiencing swelling and chronic pain as it can also make the joint feel stiffer and should be used along with Ultrasound Therapy and/or BFST treatments.

A Knee Freezie Wrap™ allows you to treat yourself in an effective and convenient way.

Cold Compression Therapy works by interrupting and slowing nerve and cell function in the damaged area. This is important because once blood vessels are damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood to the knee tissue and cells begin to break-down.

The deep cold provided by the Knee Freezie Wrap™ slows cell function thereby reducing cellular break-down. Furthermore, because the cold wraps serve to numb the nerves, the wraps also reduce pain! The Knee Freezie Wrap™ uses a deep cold gel pack with a medical-grade neoprene compression cover to keep the ice off the skin preventing cryoburn and to keep the cold in the area that you need it.

How to Order

If you do not have access to BFST or Ultrasound Therapy, gentle massage around the arthritic knee area or small flexing or extending knee movements will also help increase blood flow, oxygen, nutrients, and will prevent stiffness. It is important to move your joints often if possible.

During your recovery, you will probably have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your knee area until your pain and inflammation settle.

With these 3 easy therapies you will notice incredible improvement in your knee. The more diligent you are with your treatment and rehabilitation, the faster you will see successful results!
